R.I.P Ms. Hansen!!

Winter break is the merriest holiday of a year. Everybody should have a restful holiday since we have work so hard to achieve our goal. Many people are enjoying their holiday while some other people like us were buried in grief. Today is the first day of the winter break. But today is also the heartbroken day for our Burton high school staffs. I supposed to have an awesome Saturday. I hung out with my family and we had a lot of fun. When I came back home, I got a message from my friend, who said that Ms. Hansen has passed away. I was so shocked. I can’t believe my eyes. Because I have seen her on Thursday and we say “hi” to each other. But now, she has gone. She was died from a motorcycle accident. Her death really do bring me down. This seems so ridiculous and unbelievable. After I realized the fact, I aware that life is too short and is so unpredictable. We never know what will happen to us in the next second. We should cherish every seconds that we have from now on. I will never have a chance to say “hi” to her. I began to think back to the days when I had her class. I had her as my Health Ed teacher when I was a junior. She is the most humorous teacher who I have ever been met. Not only her teaching methods, but also her personality. She is so easy to get along with. She is strict but her mind is considerate. I know it is really hard to get over it and dealing with our emotions. But we still need to go forward. We need to be strong. And I believe Ms. Hansen will watch us from the heaven and she would love to see us step into success.

May God bless all of us and Ms. Hansen’s family…

Ms. Hansen, Rest In Peace!! We will REMEMBER you forever.!

I hava three more weeks till the end of this semester. I feel super relaxing so far. But when I meditate on the past few months,I found I did not do my best at school. I became unzealous, lazy. I like procastinates the works which the teachers assigned to us. I do not even have a sense that I am a senior right now. After eight months from now, I will go to college. Can I handle the burdensome college works? I keep asking myself. I think senior year is kinda a transition period between the high school and college. I realize that I have so many weekness that I need to overcome before I go to college.

INUNDANT TREND

As the computer industries developing more and more faster, the new medias seems emerge in an endless stream. The functions of the medias also become more flexible and more convenient. The extent not only limit within a state or a country, but also expand to all over the world. People can stay home and buy whatever they need , do whatever they want. The people are very rely on the internet, especially the young teenagers. Some of them seems like can not live without it. As a teenager, the internet is very important to me. I use it to chat with my friends, use it to do my homework, use it to read the book and gossip news. Internet is my “teacher and bad friend”. Because I can learn a lot from the internet, but I found some inadequacy news for me to read. Sometimes I don’t even need to click it, it pop out by itself. Maybe this is the way they use to spread the virus. Actually, people can not do many things without the Internet. People can do things more faster and easier. But some people use it in other different ways such as spread virus, stole the personal information through the internet, so the internet was messed up sometimes and people started to concern about that. There is no perfect thing in the world. Everything has a good side and bad side. It depends on how people use it. But I am sure that the Web2.0 will continue to influence till some other more innovative product which can replace it…

THE REPORTER GAME=]

To be a news reporter is easy, but how to be a good news reporter is the important question. We need a lot of profession skills to be a successful news reporter. As a news reporter, we have the responsibility to report the true things to our audience. I think that is the most important purpose of the news reporting. We can not just write a news story only relied on what we heard. So, before we started to write the news story, we have to seek what had happen about the story. That means we have to go out and do some research and interview people. In this case, we probably need some particular skills in order to communicate with the people better. After we done with the resarching, we have to organized the informations, then start to write the news story.

Staying healthy in a sick economy

I have read a news about how people keep their physical fitness. As you all known, the United States economy have faced crisis until now. It has an extended influence around the world. In the recent days, many people lost jobs and the companies lost money. The businesspeople are really stress about the financial crisis. The people trying their best not to panic about the market. The only way to get away from it is to get some kind of outlet. So, many people hoping that the exercises can help them. For instance, attending the yoga class and running in the morning. I think this is a good way to “escape” the stress. Because when people are doing exercise, they only focus on exercise, and they can find somebody to talk to during that time. So this maybe a special pull.

Minor Pregnancy--should we notice the parent??

As you known, the rate of minor pregnancy keep increasing year by year and some of the minors were died from the abortion without notice their parents or legal guardians. This caused the concern of the government. So, the government make a proposition about the doctor should notice the parents of the pregnant minor. In my opinion, the doctor should have that responsibility to notice the pregnant minor’s parents because they should know what happen to their children. Some parents don’t even know their children was die from the abortion. There are some benefits if the doctor notice the parents. The parents can take care of their child mentally and physically after the abortion. In the coming election day, the people can vote some propositions which is made by the California government. And the proposition which talking about the minor pregnant is Prop 4. People should vote for it!!

Student election

The student election seems like the hottest topic during last week. Many students propagandized for their ideal candidate. During the speech in last Thursday, every candidate tried their best to impress people. In my opinion, making our school community become a better place not only the main job for the new president, but also the main job for another officers.I think this is not as easy as they thought. It will accupy a lot of their personal time and some other stuffs. At the same time, there are more challenges that they need to face in the following school year. Listening to the students' suggestion also very important. No matter eho can be our president, i believe that he can make our school better...

First Amendment

When I came to the United States from China, I can really feel what is freedom. In China, I couldn’t say that we don’t have freedom, just the freedom was restricted by the government. The people can not say what they want. Only the government officers can make a decisions. In the United States, the people can say or do whatever they want. And the decision such as the presidential election was decided directly by the people.
Basically, the first amendment is that the people can have the freedom of speech, the freedom of press, etc. In my opinion, the freedom of speech is the most important, because people can express what they think, what they want, or what they want the government to concern, so the government can rule the country better. If a country was lack of people’s opinions or cooperation, it’s hard for a government to run a country. But the excessive freedom may cause some unwanted problems. For example, in the United States, the people can own a gun. I think the government should concern this issue. That ’s why so many violent crimes in the present society.

Chinatown Street Fair

Last Saturday, the street fair was held in Chinatown. And I was one of the volunteers who help to set up the booths and maintain order. There were many people at that day. And one of my job was in charge of maintain order. There were many lucky draws. And the people suppose to get in line and take turns. When I asked the people to do that, they totally ignored me. That was so pissed me off! Because there was very noisy , so i need to shout more louder," Get in line, please!" And then the people started to like blame me something like that. But i don't care tho because this is not my idea to get people in line. And most people were seems like they wouldn't have a chance, and some of them pushed the people forward, so the people in the front falling down. I used to tell them everyone would get a chance, but they still... Through this, it can reflect people's self-cultivation. And somepeople did the lucky draw more than twice. I was wondering how many gifts can meet the needs of the pepople. And when one booth started to passed out some free gifts, the people like rushed forward and robbed it. They acts like the refugees. I am not debase them, i just said the truth. I feel so pity that the people were so lack of civilization. And it can reflect the rapacious side of the people. And the pepople threw the garbage everywhere even though the garbage can was right in front of them. I cann't imagine what if every people is like that, how's the world gonna look like...

The glory vs conscience

The world is filled with competetion and challenge. Many people betray their conscience for the purpose of gaining glory. In September 6, 2008, the famous sprinter of United State, Marion Jones, was released from the prison where she stayed as long as six months. Because she used some banned medicine such as steriod to improve her perfomance at the 2000 Olympics in Sydney. She lied to the federal investigators about using steriods. She denying all the rumors about she using stimilant until last year. Afer that, the standings normally would be readjusted, with the second-place finisher moved up to gold, third to silver and fourth to bronze. Ans Jones had to give up five medals which she won at the 2000 Sydney Olympics.
Sometimes, people's judgement was warped by their self-interest. Many people live under their lies. The glory is very attractive, but we have to live with our certain standards...

The March outbreak of violence in Tibet

As you know, China had been suffered the March outbreak of violence in a Tibet few months ago. Because Tibet attempt to be an independent country. So China has stepped up its campaign to vilify the Dalai Lama who is the Tibetan spiritual leader , blamed him for the unrest, which Beijing says was part of the campaign to split the Himalayan region from the rest of China. Dalai Lama spended several months to travel globe to highlight the struggle of Tibetans for greater freedom in China and to teach Buddhism. Delai Lama often leads the Tibetan to against the Chinese rule.
As a chinese, I very hopefully that China can be more unity. But we can not advoid some people who against their own country. I think some other country has the same situation as China. So, if a country can not hold together, it is so hard for a country to survive, to compete with other country.
